This advanced engine hoist system is designed for precise engine handling and automated material handling applications and moves engines efficiently between build stations and storage racks while maintaining complete accuracy and safety.
Key Features of the PLC-Controlled Engine Handling System
- Operators can choose from 6 different dunnage (rack) locations using the control interface. Once selected, the PLC takes over.
- The PLC directs the AGV to the chosen dunnage, determines the previous rack location, and picks the next engine in the correct sequence.
- Limit switches create defined safe zones, physically preventing the crane from travelling on top of a stationed AGV.
- The system also prevents operators from inputting incorrect coordinates, eliminating collision risks.
- Advanced scanners verify the engine is fully unhooked from the crane before the AGV can move to prevent any risk of an engine being ripped off the hook.
- The hoist provides 4 predetermined travel heights, ensuring fast, accurate, and repeatable positioning at every station.
- Has a “Start Sequence” button to initiate automated cycles.
